00:00 This week’s CCJ Tech Shorts features an AI logistics network, a new fuel fraud detection solution and a diagnostic software update.
00:20 Uber Freight has launched its AI logistics network at scale, powered by its proprietary logistics-specific large language model and embedded directly into its transportation management system and logistics platform.
By the end of 2025, Uber Freight will further enhance its TMS, fully integrating its AI co-pilot called Insights AI and its agent ecosystem. The TMS will evolve beyond a system of record to become a real-time logistics command center that proactively guides users of all sizes with intelligence and automated repetitive tasks.
Uber Freight’s logistics platform’s latest advancements bring to market more than 30 AI agents automating execution across the shipment lifecycle, while Insights AI delivers always-on recommendations to help shippers using the TMS to proactively navigate disruption, reduce cost, and improve service across their networks.
01:13 Fintech company Relay Payments has launched Relay Pulse to mitigate fuel fraud, which remains a costly challenge for fleets, especially first-party fuel fraud, where carriers struggle to track driver fueling behavior and prevent unauthorized transactions from drivers committing fraud.
Relay Pulse integrates with more than 100 ELD providers to help prevent first-party fuel fraud.
Key features and capabilities of Relay Pulse include:
• Automatic enforcement of fuel tank thresholds to block unauthorized transactions and prevent excessive fueling.
• Confirmation that the fuel tank increased after fueling.
• Truck location verification to block fueling attempts when drivers are not near their truck.
• Real-time driver and vehicle syncing to ensure drivers are assigned to the correct truck, keeping fueling records accurate.
• And automated onboarding and offboarding of drivers between Relay and your ELD system to maintain up-to-date permissions.
02:07 Noregon has rolled out an update to its flagship JPRO diagnostic software that includes a pre-scan to detect issues potentially affecting compliance with California Air Resource Board’s (CARB) Clean Truck Check regulation, plus substantial new coverage for a wide range of vehicles and off-highway equipment.
CARB’s Clean Truck Check rule requires nearly all heavy-duty vehicles that travel in California to pass emissions inspections using software like Noregon’s Truck Check Up. The pre-scan feature in JPRO identifies issues that could cause a failed inspection, allowing for proactive repairs, saving valuable time and money associated with failed inspection. These results are available from JPRO’s Road Worthiness feature, which assesses if a vehicle is ready for operation and helps technicians identify issues that need attention before they potentially result in safety malfunctions, fines, or failed inspections.
On-highway coverage updates include bi-directional tests and support for medium and heavy-duty manufacturers.
