00:00 In this week’s CCJ Tech Shorts, we’ll take a look at Lytx’s latest product launch, expansion of a commercial mileage calculation and truck routing platform, a new tool for truck parking and more.

00:23 Lytx, a video and safety-driven efficiency platform, has added a new fleet management solution to its existing product lineup.

LytxOne is a unified platform where telematics, video safety and maintenance were simultaneously developed from a single foundation. It joins the Lytx DriveCam, Lytx+ with Geotab and Lytx Surfsight solutions as a reliable, lighter-weight option for fleets with less complex needs.

The platform is designed to offer smaller operations key insights but with less complexity and overhead with the ability to scale to deliver robust capabilities for larger fleets.

01:00 ProBuilt Miles, a commercial mileage calculation and truck routing platform by ProBuilt Software, has expanded to include Canadian mileage calculations and routing, now supporting operations across the U.S., Canadian provinces and cross-border lanes. The platform is being offered free of charge to Canadian-based trucking companies and owner operators.

The platform has also evolved beyond traditional truck mapping systems by incorporating ProBuilt Software’s proprietary Floating Forms technology, an architecture that delivers multitasking from within a browser-based software application, eliminating tab switching and screen loss. It enables dispatchers to open, move, pin, stack and manage multiple routing and configuration windows while keeping full map visibility, allowing them to plan, compare and optimize multiple routes side-by-side in real time, reducing planning time and increasing dispatch velocity.

Routes are calculated using truck-specific logic designed for commercial operations, including routing constraints and configuration options such as vehicle dimensions, axle load, weight, hazmat considerations, tolls, ferries and commercial road restrictions. The platform also automatically produces jurisdictional mileage to support compliance and reporting requirements.

02:16 ParkPro, a national provider of commercial truck parking solutions, has launched a new feature that allows commercial drivers to vote on priority locations for new truck parking.

Available for free on ParkPro’s web platform and app, the tool allows drivers to view hundreds of underutilized parking facilities on an interactive map and request specific sites be formally opened based on demand.

The launch of this feature comes as the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration prepares to survey the benefits of building new truck parking spaces nationwide.

02:49 Supply chain logistics platform Flexport has added a new tool to is suite of customs technology. The Tariff Refund Calculator aims to help importers estimate potential refunds and prepare for possible outcomes while they wait on the U.S. Supreme Court ruling on International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) tariffs.

Businesses can upload their 2025 Entry Report from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to the refund calculator, which instantly calculates the total duties that could be eligible for refund and breaks them down by duty category, helping importers quickly understand their potential return if the Supreme Court orders refunds.

The calculator will be updated in real time as more definitive information becomes available.

03:32 BeyondTrucks, which provides a platform for AI-powered truck dispatch planning and management, has achieved SOC 2 Type II compliance. SOC 2 Type II audits examine the operational effectiveness of cybersecurity controls over a minimum period of time, typically six to 12 months, demonstrating sustained security practices.

SOC 2 Type II is an auditing standard developed by the American Institute of CPAs that evaluates how well a service provider safeguards customer data based on five Trust Service Criteria: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy.

BeyondTrucks’ CEO (Hans Galland) said, “These audits validate that we are consistently maintaining protections across our multi-tenant architecture where multiple customers share the same infrastructure and applications. In contrast, the single-tenant or on-premise models place security responsibilities with the customer's IT team, making it impossible for the software vendor to obtain SOC 2 Type II certification for those deployments.”
