00:00 This week’s CCJ Tech Shorts includes a new tool for finding truck parking, an integration that benefits terminal-based LTL operations, an expanded camera system and more.

00:21 North American truck service directory 4RoadService.com has introduced a new search feature on its website and mobile app to help drivers find truck parking.

Using the truck parking search feature, drivers can identify nearby parking in real time across the U.S. and Canada, including parking with access to other services like truck repair, tire service, towing and fuel. Search results provide the location, distance and how many parking spaces are on site – though not availability. Some listings include additional details like fuel prices; available amenities like showers and laundry; and nearby services like medical centers and restaurants.

01:03 Freight management software provider Carrier Logistics Inc. has completed an integration with fleet technology and mobile workflow solutions provider Pedigree Technologies.

The integration delivers modern driver communications, pickup and delivery workflows, and mobile document capture directly within the CLI FACTS TMS. Key capabilities include two-way messaging between drivers and operations teams, pickup and delivery job execution with real-time status updates flowing back into the CLI TMS, and secure mobile document capture for bills of lading, proof of delivery and signed receipts.

The ELD-agnostic integration is designed specifically for terminal-based LTL operations, supporting multi-stop routes, linehaul coordination, and pickup and delivery workflows.

01:51 Fleetworthy has launched a new partner program that unifies its full portfolio of fleet safety and compliance, toll management and weigh station bypass solutions into a single, streamlined partner framework.

The program allows partners such as ELD and technology providers to act as a single point of contact to deliver fleets and owner-operators a one-stop experience to activate and manage Fleetworthy’s full suite of solutions. Now partners – including referral, reseller, distribution, marketplace, affiliate and technology alliance – can engage through one program, one portal and one support model, making it easier to offer, deploy and support Fleetworthy’s solutions.

This follows Fleetworthy’s recent announcement that it has transitioned its toll management solution, formerly known as Bestpass, and its weigh station bypass solution, formerly known as Drivewyze, under a single Fleetworthy brand.

02:44 Factory production has started for Daimler Truck North America’s new visibility solution.

The Exterior Camera System expands DTNA’s existing backup camera capability with three additional camera views: left side, right side and forward-facing.

The Exterior Camera System is automatically triggered by key vehicle inputs, including left and right turn signals and reverse gear, with live video displayed on the in-cab touchscreen. Mounted in the grille, the forward-facing camera can be manually activated by the driver when additional visibility is desired. Camera views and activation logic can be customized.

03:22 A new AI freight procurement agent from project44 aims to cut freight spend and accelerate sourcing by automating carrier selection, rate benchmarking and negotiations across modes.

The agent, which operates within p44’s TMS, continuously benchmarks contracted rates against changing market rates and evaluates carriers across cost, transit time and service reliability. It can identify lanes with savings opportunities or elevated spot exposure, launch digital mini-bids autonomously, and recommend or execute awards based on configurable business rules. It selects carriers and ensures negotiated rates flow directly into execution, while shipment outcomes inform future sourcing decisions.

04:06 Last year, Travel platform Engine became the first business travel company to accept WEX Over-the-Road trucking fuel cards. Now, the payment and workflow solutions provider has expanded that partnership to enable customers to consolidate fuel transactions with Engine’s discounted travel spend into a single, streamlined payment platform.

This enables drivers across commercial fleets and trucking to pay for travel spend through their WEX account, eliminating the need for drivers to use personal funds for hotels or rental cars. It also helps fleets reduce the time it takes to match receipts, approve expenses, and close out jobs with real-time oversight and guardrails.
