Chevron Lubricants expects to roll out its Delo 400 XSP SAE 5W-30 and 5W-40 (both API CK-4) full synthetic products this summer as the company continues its focus on the transition for its customers to Delo 400 XLE SAE 10W-30, Delo 400 SDE SAE 15W-40.

Rollout of the low viscosity synthetic oils was originally expected this spiring but Delo Senior Staff Engineer Shawn Whitacre that timeline has been adjusted to meet demand for the product.

“We did delay the Delo 400 XSP SAE 5W-30 and 5W-40, as we wanted to focus on products already in the market, and the Delo 400 XLE SAE 10W-30 and Delo 400 SDE SAEW 15W-40 oils are the most common with our customers,” he adds.

Shawn Whitacre says in the coming months, he anticipates increased demand for the lower viscosity Delo 400 XSP SAE 5W-30 and 5W-40.
