Alliance Truck Parts 250 to honor truckers at Michigan International Speedway

Alliance Truck Parts, title sponsor of the June 15th Alliance Truck Parts 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series
race at Michigan International Speedway, is recognizing the dedication and hard work of all truck drivers. Alliance Truck Parts is billing the event “The Race That Trucking Built” in acknowledgement of all the work that drivers do to bring the teams, equipment and freight to the track, as well as trucking’s significance on the nation’s economy.

“Long before we get to the track to watch the excitement, truck drivers are doing the hard work of hauling team trailers, cars, food and everything else to the speedway for our enjoyment,” said Todd Biggs, director of aftermarket parts and service marketing for Daimler Trucks North America. “To show our respect for the tough jobs that all truckers do, this year we’ll be giving away free race tickets to CDL holders. This is just our way of showing appreciation.”

The first 250 guests to show their CDL at the Alliance Truck Parts Pit Stop Tour exhibit at the speedway on June 14 and 15 will receive one free ticket to the race on Saturday. All drivers who present their CDL will also receive a $25 Alliance Truck Parts gift card. The exhibit will feature hands-on product displays and fans will receive NASCAR memorabilia when they sign up for an Alliance Truck Parts gift card or get their photo taken with the Alliance Truck Parts No. 12 Ford Mustang driven by Sam Hornish Jr.

“In trucking, like racing, there’s a dependence on the machine’s ability to perform that relies on having the right parts at the right time and a strong team,” added Biggs. “Alliance Truck Parts works to provide those quality parts at value prices for independent owner operators and fleets alike at more than 800 locations across the U.S. and Canada. That puts Alliance close by wherever a driver might need a pit stop. We’re proud to welcome fans back this June for another unforgettable day of racing at Michigan International Speedway.”
