All-electric commercial truck brand RIZON has launched a new service combo body for its medium-duty electric trucks, aiming to provide vocational fleets with a zero-emission alternative for transporting tools and materials without sacrificing payload.
The customizable body combines secure tool storage with a cargo bed. It can be outfitted with specialized equipment, including cranes, ladder racks, generators, lift gates, and work lighting.
"Commercial vehicle customers have been asking for an electric truck that doesn’t require them to change how they work," said Alex Voets, general manager of RIZON USA. "This new combo body delivers the familiar functionality fleets rely on, now on a zero-emission RIZON chassis."
To help offset the upfront cost of adopting electric fleets, the vehicles qualify for major state incentive programs. In California, buyers can utilize the Clean Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP), while Washington state buyers can access the Zero-Emission Incentive Program (WAZIP). Depending on the program and fleet eligibility, these point-of-sale vouchers can save buyers between $60,000 and $130,000.
RIZON, a Daimler Truck subsidiary that debuted at the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo in 2023, produces Class 4 and 5 vehicles ranging from 15,995 to 18,850 pounds in gross vehicle weight.

The trucks are available in two configurations:
M Size: Features two battery packs with a range of up to 110 miles (177 kilometers).
L Size: Features three battery packs with a range of up to 160 miles (257 kilometers).
Editor's Note: Range estimates are based on standard testing conditions with a 50% payload; actual range varies by driving style, climate, and body application.
The trucks support both Level 2 AC charging via a standard J1772 connector and DC fast charging through a CCS1 connection, allowing fleet operators to utilize existing infrastructure or scale up to faster charging systems.
RIZON models also include the brand's proprietary RIZONCONNECT connectivity services, integrated active safety systems, and specialized fleet financing options.
