Carrier Information Exchange’s new website, www.backhauler.com, lets shippers post loads for rates they choose.

The process begins when a shipper posts a load. A Carrier Information Exchange agent then calls the nearest trucking company and offers it the posted rate. Most CIE agents are small- to medium-sized trucking companies that broker their excess freight.
