Hobart Welders’ Welding Talk, an interactive online forum, allows users to ask questions, offer tips and discuss the finer points of welding. Welding Talk began in 1999 as a vehicle for the technical support staff of Hobert Welders to respond to product questions. It has since evolved into an online community, where people can discuss welding projects with their peers, the company says.

The site averages about 25-35 questions each day with a number of responses to each. The online community is diverse, including farmers, shop mechanics and professional welders. Although the chat room is a part of Hobart Welders’ website, topics aren’t limited to the discussion of Hobart products.

In addition to Welding Talk, the Hobart site contains other educational features and specifications of all Hobart products. Products include a complete line of industrial-grade Stick, MIG, TIG, and spot welders, plasma cutters and generator/welding power sources.
