Holland introduces the NS Series Trailer Slider/Air Suspension System.
The NS-400 model is designed for standard 40,000-pound dry freight and refrigerated van applications, and the NS-450 model should be used for 45,000-pound heavier duty van applications.
The slider is manufactured from 80,000-pound yield steel, and reinforcements prevent buckling and racking problems. The full-height G-shape crossmembers prevent slider racking. The Qwik-Release system lets one person quickly and easily reposition the slider and retract wedge slider pins, the company reports. An air pin puller is an optional feature.
The trailing arm suspension design offers durability and higher capacity, the company reports. The 3-bushing suspension design has a high fore/aft spring rate to control axle movement and reduce vibration, which the company reports reduces axle stress and increases tire life. The 2-pin axle adapter reduces torsional axle stress and improves trailer tracking, and the welded axle connection accepts most commercially available 5-inch round axles. The EZ-Align non-weld axle alignment technology does not require any welding or special tools. An optional external dock docking system automatically eliminates dock walk and dock squat.
