TLC Transportation Staffing, a supplier of temporary and long-term contract truck drivers for more than 25 years, this month began offering permanent placement of qualified drivers through a new headhunter program. Paul Driskell, CEO of the Santa Ana, Calif.-based firm, says clients frequently ask the company to supply full-time permanent drivers. TLC serves California, Arizona, Washington, Nevada and Oregon.
Like the temporary or long-term contract drivers TLC currently supplies, permanently assigned drivers will remain on TLC’s payroll. Those drivers have the same prerogative as others to seek either local or long-haul assignments. In addition to a thorough background check, each TLC driver must pass a battery of tests and score high in a series of personal interviews with several TLC recruitment consultants before being sent out on an interview with a carrier.
