The Frigette Engine Off Truck Sleeper Climate Control System uses either a 3.5- or a 5.5-KW ultra compact diesel generator.
The system provides 9,000 BTUs of air conditioning and 15,000 watts of electric heat. It also produces enough electricity to power a block heater, television, VCR, microwave oven, coffee pot and other electrical needs, eliminating the need to idle the engine.
The system weighs 232 pounds, is easily installed and uses .01 to .02 gallons of fuel per hour of operation, the company says.
