Rite-Hite’s Insulator Dock Sealing System features a fire-resistant header seal, vertical moving side pads, durable fabric and a bottom seal. The Firefighter header seal prevents the head pad from smoldering or catching fire. It is also available as a stand-alone product for retrofitting existing foam seal units. The Insulator system features the industry’s first integrated bottom seal, which helps control energy loss through the gaps at the corners and beneath the dock leveler, the company says. The vertical-motion side pads move up and down with the trailer during loading and unloading to reduce friction.
