Truck-Lite’s High Performance Video System allows drivers to see critical areas around their vehicles on a 5 1/2-inch, green phosphor screen. The system’s cameras use Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductors to discriminate between subtle shadings and eliminate light bloom, the company says. Multiple wide-angle cameras can provide full vision, and switching can be manual or automatic. The cameras can function at 0.5 lux, very dark conditions, or 30,000 lux, direct sunlight.
