AirIQ has made its asset tracking and management system available commercially for flat deck trailers. As with its other mobile communications solutions, AirIQ for Flat Decks is an Internet-based solution that uses on-board computing, a Global Positioning System (GPS), digital maps and a wireless transceiver. AirIQ already had products on the market designed for tractors, straight-trucks, dry van trailers, refrigerated and heated trailers.
Separately, the company has added new features to its system – Stationary Status, Get GPS Mileage and Engine Idling Alert. Stationary Status let’s AirIQ’s clients know when their vehicles have not moved within a predetermined time frame. Get GPS Mileage uses GPS to calculate vehicle mileage. Engine Idling Alert identifies when a vehicle is idling and keeps track of the accumulated idling time.
