Applications are being accepted for the Truckload Carriers Association’s annual Independent Contractor of the Year and Company Equipment Driver of the Year contests sponsored by TCA, Overdrive and Truckers News. The contest is open to truckload drivers with one million accident-free miles. Applications for the contests can be found at etrucker.com, www.truckload.org and in the August issue of CCJ. Forms are due Oct. 11. Drivers may apply themselves, or carriers may submit an application on a driver’s behalf. Finalists will be notified Oct. 25.
