Qualcomm and Savi Technology announced a product initiative to integrate the two companies’ tracking, management and security products into a comprehensive hardware/software solution for in-transit visibility and security of transportation containers and their contents for the maritime, rail and truck industries.
The effort combines Qualcomm’s OmniTracs and OmniExpress mobile communications systems, network operations and fleet management and Savi’s real-time solutions based on the company’s active radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology – including electronic security seals – with enterprise software designed to improve the management and security of supply chain assets.
