OSHA, SBA to promote ergonomics awareness
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Small Business Administration last month signed an agreement pledging to work together to help small businesses reduce their ergonomic hazards through increased outreach and education. Under the agreement, OSHA and SBA will establish an information sharing process to distribute ergonomics program information to small businesses. The partners also will create a referral procedure to submit small business input on industry and task-specific ergonomics guidelines.


Praxair installs lane guidance system
Iteris Inc., a subsidiary of Odetics Inc., announced that Praxair Inc. of Danbury, Conn., has committed to an initial order of 200 new trucks with the Iteris Lane Guidance lane departure warning system installed. The system was selected as a result of Praxair’s ongoing research into equipment that would increase the safety of their drivers.
