The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) has acquired the rights to the URL www.ase.com. The new Web address should be easier to remember and use than the older www.asecert.org, which remains in service. Technicians can use the site to complete ASE certification test registrations, while maintenance managers can log on to obtain materials promoting their facilities’ ASE-certified technicians.

Meanwhile, http://www.diesel.org/ortner foundation, launched by the Association of Diesel Specialists (ADS), is designed to attract new students into diesel training programs at institutions participating in ADS’ TechSmart educational program.

This online resource for students outlines the scholarship requirements and application process. The Ortner Scholarship Program, administered by ADS, is available to first or second-year students at a TechSmart member school. TechSmart was developed to provide a better skilled, entry-level technician, and to support the continuing education needs of the current labor force.
