Roadway Express last month introduced the Roadway Sealed Divider service for shippers that have special security needs or want their freight to receive more secure packing and protection during transit. Two tamper-proof rod locks secure a customized barrier within the trailer from pickup to destination, minimizing handling and eliminating co-mingling of freight.


GE Driver Development (formerly GE I-Sim), Salt Lake City, now offers its instructor-led education, interactive computer-based curriculum and driving simulators at clients’ locations. By moving away from operations centralized in Anaheim, Calif., and Denver, the company says it can train a customer’s drivers more quickly and efficiently.


Instructional Technologies Inc., Vancouver, Wash., and P.A.Y. BACK Systems, Norcross, Ga., have formed an alliance for marketing their services within the trucking community. ITI’s TREAD-1 offers computer-based, interactive truck-driver training. P.A.Y. BACK Systems develops customized targeted incentive programs for employees in numerous industries. Jackson, Miss.-based KLLM Transport was its first large fleet client.
