CCJ introduces updated Air Brake Book

The editors of Commercial Carrier Journal have completed the 7th edition of The Air Brake Book. The book, first published in 1988, serves as a complete, up-to-date reference on heavy vehicle air brake systems.

Authored and updated by CCJ’s staff of technical writers, the new edition, available soon, covers 17 chapters, including full-color, illustrations and diagrams.

Every page in the new edition has been updated with current information on such topics as: air brake basics; air disc brakes; preventive maintenance; automatic brake (slack) adjusters; antilock braking systems; electronic braking systems; CVSA brake out-of-service criteria; air system troubleshooting guide; restoring s-cam performance; spec’ing for brake balance; making trailers safer; troubleshooting brake imbalance; brake lining selection; braking after a blowout; downhill braking; and an air-brake training guide.
