Per recent announcements, the following engine oils are compliant with Caterpillar’s Engine Crankcase Fluids (ECF-1) specification for use in ACERT engines:
ChevronTexaco Global Lubricants’ Chevron Delo, Chevron RPM, Texaco Ursa Premium TDX, and Ursa Super Plus; Petro-Canada’s Duron and Duron XL Synthetic Blend; Shell Lubricants’ Shell Rotella T 15W-40; Exxon XD-3, Exxon XD-3 Elite, Mobil Delvac 1300 Super and Mobil Delvac 1 5W-40; Castrol’s Enduron S, Tection Extra and Tection S; and ConocoPhillips’ 76 T5X Heavy Duty Motor Oil, 76 Guardol QLT Motor Oil, 76 Firebird HD Motor Oil, Conoco HD Fleet Supreme Engine Oil, Conoco Hydroclear Power D Engine Oil, Phillips Super HD II Motor Oil, Phillips Super HD 3000 Motor Oil, and Kendall Super-D 3 Engine Oil.
ECF-1 oils must have limited ash content provide enhanced soot control, acid neutralization, thermal stability, wear control, detergency and dispersancy.
