Chevron Delo’s 400 Multigrade SAE 15W-40 heavy-duty engine oil meets the European ACEA E7-04 specification.
The new E7-04 specification includes a 90-cycle shear stability test requirement and the Mack T10 engine test. The test is recommended for oils used in diesel engines without particulate filters, for most exhaust gas recirculation engines, and engines fitted with selective catalyst reduction nitrogen oxide reduction systems.
Oils must provide effective piston cleanliness and bore polishing control, deliver excellent wear and turbocharger deposit control, and offer superior soot handling and lubricant stability to meet the specification.
