Mike Ryan breaks Pikes Peak record

Veteran stunt and race driver Mike Ryan broke his own record at the annual Pikes Peak International Hill Climb near Colorado Springs, Colo.

Ryan drove his customized Freightliner, equipped with Michelin X One tires. He made the 12.42-mile climb up the 14,110-foot peak in 12 minutes, 46.8 seconds, which was almost 20 seconds faster than his previous record. The second-place finisher came in almost six minutes later.
