Effective Aug. 1, Contract Freighters Inc. of Joplin, Mo., will pay an additional five-cents-per-mile bonus to all company and leased drivers for miles dispatched in 12 qualifying states and the District of Columbia.
Drivers will receive this Northeast bonus pay per mile for all paid miles, whether loaded, empty or bobtail. Team drivers will split the increase.
The “Northeast Bonus Pay” will be given for hauls into Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia and the District of Columbia.
This bonus will be paid in addition to the supplemental pay drivers already receive for going to certain New York City ZIP codes and for crossing the Canadian border.
