Ryder System has announced it has appointed Charles Patton vice president, compensation and benefits. In this role, he will be responsible for corporate compensation planning and health and welfare benefits program design for Ryder’s 26,000 employees worldwide.
Patton joins Ryder from Office Depot, where he most recently served as vice president, human resources planning, budgeting and analysis. Throughout his career, he has held various leadership positions in human resources and compensation for PolyOne Corp., GenCorp, Watson-Wyatt and Bausch & Lomb.
Patton earned his master’s degree in personnel administration and bachelor’s degree in multidisciplinary social science from Michigan State University.
