Truckers got another break as average diesel prices retreated for the second straight week, to $2.34 a gallon.
A week ago, it averaged $2.39, according to the U.S. Department of Energy survey. Earlier this month the average hit a record $2.41.
Prices fell in every DOE region except the West Coast, where it held at $2.53.
The lowest prices were found in the Midwest region, at $2.29. Other regional prices were: East Coast, $2.37; Gulf Coast, $2.28; and Rocky Mountains, $2.41.
