The Truckload Carriers Association is presenting an audio conference Thursday, Sept. 29 designed to help trucking companies reduce their legal and financial exposure in compliance reviews.

The audio conference, “Preparing for and Managing a Compliance Review Audit,” will focus on the critical steps motor carriers should take to ensure a successful Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration compliance review — and how to avoid audits in the first place. Topics include strategies for staying off FMCSA’s priority list for audits, tips for streamlining the compliance process to focus on critical documents, ways of managing “safety event” data in the audit, and recommendations for conducting an internal audit.

The audio conference is scheduled for 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. Eastern time. Presenters are Kevin Burch, president of Dayton, Ohio-based Jet Express; Jeff Davis, vice president-safety and human resources for Jet Express; and David Hedgpeth, vice president-compliance and safety for Lancaster, Texas-based FFE Transportation Services.

The audio conference registration is $129 for TCA members and $159 for nonmembers.

More information and a link to online registration is available on the TCA website.
