Pipe Creek Transport Inc., a Warren, Ind.-based trucking company, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
In the Sept. 28 filing, Pipe Creek reported $1,394,842.98 in debt and $1,220,036.83 in assets, according to www.fortwayne.com, the website for the Fort Wayne, Ind. News-Sentinel and Journal Gazette.
Pipe Creek employs 35, according to the 2005 Harris Indiana Services Directory. That likely makes it one of Warren’s 10 largest employers, said Andy Jockheck, a member of the Warren Area Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors. Warren’s population was about 1,250 last year, according to a U.S. Census Bureau estimate.
