James J. Keller, executive vice president and chief operating officer of specialty publisher J.J. Keller & Associates, recently was presented with the 2005 Frank W. Babbitt Award at the Wisconsin Motor Carriers Association’s annual convention in Milwaukee.

Each year, the Babbitt Award is presented to an individual who has shown outstanding service to the WMCA, the trucking industry and the community. Established in 1977, the award recognizes and encourages a tradition of public and industry service among WMCA members.

Presenting the award Oct. 27 was WMCA President Thomas Howells and WMCA Chairman Buck Jenkins. “This award is the highest honor we can bestow on one of our members,” Howells says. “The (list of) past award winners reads like a ‘Who’s Who in the Trucking Industry.'” Howells recounted many generous donations of time, money and expertise from Keller and his company, noting also that Keller has served on the WMCA board of directors for the last three years.

J.J. Keller & Associates of Neenah, Wis., is a specialized publisher and services provider that offers ready-made and custom safety and regulatory compliance products in transportation, construction, utilities, manufacturing and food processing.
