Wal-Mart Stores recently recognized Swift Transportation as the recipient of the retailer’s annual “Carrier of the Year” award.
“Swift Transportation provided outstanding truckload service for Wal-Mart in 2004,” says Tracy Rosser, vice president of Wal-Mart corporate traffic. “It is our pleasure to recognize their associates for commitment to quality and customer service. Their great support throughout 2004 has ultimately allowed us to better serve our customers.”
Selection criteria for the award included revenue/growth, ease of doing business, communication, flexibility, customer service and follow-up/correction of errors.
“Given the very high standards Wal-Mart uses in selecting their service partners, we at Swift are deeply honored to receive this ‘best in class’ award for the second time in three years,” says Bob Cunningham, Swift president and chief executive officer. “Credit goes to the 23,000 dedicated professionals at Swift Transportation who safely deliver world-class service to our customers.”
