CFI honors October drivers of the month

CFI, an international truckload carrier based in Joplin, Mo., has announced its monthly driver award recipients for October 2005:

  • Company Driver of the Month: Franklin Harner, who started driving for CFI in 1991, uses the handle “Butch Cassidy.”
  • Company Team of the Month: Larry Howell lives in Decatur, Texas; and his co-driver, Daia Elkins, lives in Grandbury, Texas.
  • Contractor Driver of the Month: Joseph Enriquez, who began his career with CFI in 1999, uses the handle “Hook ’em Horns.”
  • Contractor Team of the Month: John and Sherry Hufford, who began driving for CFI in 2000, live in Bell, Fla.
  • As the October 2005 winners, each driver and team is nominated automatically for the 2005 yearend award in their respective categories. All full-time over-the-road drivers who have been certified as a driver at CFI for one year are eligible for the CFI driver awards. Additional qualifications are as follows:

  • Received no moving violations in the previous 12 months;
  • Involved in no accidents in the previous 12 months; and
  • Received no out-of-service violations through state and/or federal inspections in the previous 12 months.
