CFI has announced that Ned Darrow, who started driving for the company in 1979, is the fourth driver in the carrier’s history to reach three million miles.

“CFI has had 649 professional drivers reach the one-million-mile mark, 46 professional drivers reach the two-million-mile mark, and only four professional drivers reach the three-million-mile mark during their driving careers at CFI,” says Herb Schmidt, president and chief executive officer of the Joplin, Mo.-based fleet. “From these figures, you can see what a rare achievement Ned Darrow has accomplished.”

Darrow says he began driving professionally because he was tired of farming, and he cautions all drivers to think about the other drivers on the road. “Think of someone other than yourself,” says Darrow, who resides in Saginaw, Mo., with his wife, Leah.
