Maptuit appoints Mapquest executive as senior VP/sales

Maptuit — a provider of truck-specific routing and directions, location-based services and digital mapping for North America — has announced the appointment of Douglas K. Frank as senior vice president of sales, where he will lead and oversee Maptuit’s sales team that will drive the company’s growth.

Frank spent several years with MapQuest as vice president of national business-to-business sales, where he provided leadership and managed North America’s sales teams and provided solutions for websites, CRM, ERP, e-business, e-commerce, supply chain and logistics. He also has served as a partner and co-founder of CompuTravel and TNT Vacations.

“Frank’s profound knowledge of ASP software applications and solutions, his vast experience in working with channels, experience in the majority of customer segments and extensive experience in the Geospatial sector, while at MapQuest, is key to Maptuit’s growth and support to our business units,” says Jeff Papows, chairman and president of Burlington, Mass.-based Maptuit. “We look forward to him strengthening our existing customer and partner relationships, developing new markets and growing Maptuit’s business in the United States and Canada, while supporting our very important customer base.”
