Pitt Ohio Express taps Dugger to head retention efforts

Pitt Ohio Express has announced the promotion of Jason Dugger to manager of employee development and retention, responsible for the development, implementation, metrics and maintenance of all company-training programs.

Dugger began working at Pittsburgh-based Pitt Ohio Express in 1999 as a projects implementer for inbound planning software. His previous positions at the carrier’s Pittsburgh terminal include inbound planner/outbound supervisor.

Nathan Meisgeier, president of Omaha, Nebraska-based Werner Enterprises, said his carrier is committing to hire 1,400 veterans over the coming year as part of the Freedom Haulers initiative.
