CFI announces 2005 Drivers of the Year

CFI, an international truckload carrier based in Joplin, Mo., has announced its 2005 Drivers of the Year. Each driver that was honored as a Driver of the Month in 2005 was an automatic nominee for the annual honor in his or her respective category. A resolution from the Missouri State House of Representatives and a cash prize, among other prizes, were presented to each winner.

The annual winners are as follows:

  • Richard Norman, Company Driver of the Year, uses the handle “Redneck” and joined CFI in 1994. He lives in Lancaster, Texas.
  • Marvin Peck, Contractor Driver of the Year, lives in Bartlesville, Okla., and uses the handle “Giddy Up Go.” Peck joined CFI in 1984 and again in 2004.
  • Mark and Peggy Dahlberg, Company Team of the Year, both began driving for CFI in 2002. Together, they have driven more than 935,000 miles with the carrier. They reside in Neosho, Mo.
  • John and Sharon Dillinger, Contractor Team of the year, both began driving for CFI in 1999. They use the handles “Tailwind” and “Chigger” and live in Grove, Okla.
