Joplin, Mo.-based CFI has announced that Billy Cartright has been promoted to director of driver recruiting, and that Tom Hatfield has been named director of driver retention and safety.
Cartright will oversee recruiting department functions, including CFI’s driver and student recruiting programs. He began his career at CFI as a driver recruiter, serving most recently as outside terminals and regional development manager.
In a new initiative to focus on both driver retention and safety, Hatfield will continue CFI’s hands-on safety program and will train operations personnel on human resources skills. Hatfield, who has more than 35 years of experience in the transportation industry, began his career at CFI in 1996 as a claims manager, serving most recently as director of recruiting.
