Schneider Logistics, an international lead logistics provider and part of the Schneider National enterprise, announced that it has been selected by Tronox LLC — previously part of Kerr-McGee Corp. — to provide an integrated transportation and freight management solution for Tronox’s manufacturing facilities in the United States.

“Schneider Logistics’ expertise and years of experience in the chemical industry enabled us to create a customized solution for Tronox that improved on-time shipments, and increased efficiency and capacity on short notice,” says Mark Rourke, vice president and general manager of transportation management for Green Bay, Wis.-based Schneider Logistics. “We look forward to working with Tronox to provide the most effective transportation solution for its U.S. operations.”

Tronox LLC is an affiliate of Tronox Inc., the world’s third-largest producer of titanium dioxide pigment.

“We are pleased with Schneider’s responsiveness, flexible capacity and consistency, and were impressed by its ability to provide critical capacity after hurricanes Katrina and Rita,” says Don Mills, director of global logistics at Tronox. “We are focused on driving our business from our customers’ perspective, and Schneider is helping us meet and exceed our customer service goals in a demanding, rapidly changing environment.”
