Average diesel price up 7 cents

The national average retail price of a gallon of diesel increased 7.4 cents during the week ending Monday, March 6, to $2.545, or 37.7 cents higher than a year ago. It was the second consecutive weekly increase.

The average diesel price increased in all regions tracked by the U.S. Department of Energy. The West Coast had the most expensive diesel in the country at $2.711, the Gulf Coast the least expensive at $2.499.
