Mack Trucks has partnered with Allison Transmission in the Allison Edge program to make the company’s transmissions the exclusive automatic transmission offering in Mack’s Granite, Vision, Pinnacle, CH and MR models.
“With the industry trend shifting to more automatic transmissions, particularly in heavy-duty mixer and dump applications, we saw the opportunity to partner with Allison in their EDGE Program as an effective way to take full advantage of this trend and, more importantly, to offer our customers a greater overall value,” says Tom Kelly, vice president of marketing for Lehigh Valley, Pa.-based Mack.
The Allison Edge program is designed to provide customers with a broader range of automatic transmission options. “As our partner in the Allison Edge program, Mack will have the right transmission with the right coverage at the right price for the particular needs of its customers,” says Jim Wanaselja, director of North American marketing sales and service and global business activities for Allison Transmission, based in Indianapolis.
