Dan Ryan ramps scheduled to reopen today

Today, the Illinois Department of Transportation is reopening the reconstructed Fifty-ninth Street entrance ramp to the outbound Dan Ryan Expressway (Interstate 90/94) in Chicago, weather permitting. The Sixty-third Street exit ramp from the Dan Ryan also is scheduled to reopen.

One lane will remain open on Wells Street from Fifty-ninth Street to Sixty-third Street, with posted parking restrictions. Wells is one way southbound and serves as a frontage road along the west side of the Dan Ryan.

On Friday, March 17, the reconstructed entrance ramp from Seventy-first Street to the outbound Dan Ryan and the exit ramp from the outbound Dan Ryan to Seventy-fifth Street are scheduled to reopen.

At the same time, IDOT plans to close the entrance ramp from Seventy-sixth Street to the outbound Dan Ryan and the exit ramp from the outbound Dan Ryan to Seventy-ninth Street.

Drivers should continue to expect left lane closures along Lafayette Avenue from Seventy-first to Seventy-ninth streets. Parking restrictions remain in effect along Lafayette from Seventy-sixth to Seventy-ninth streets. Lafayette is a one-way southbound frontage road along the west side of the Dan Ryan.
