Interstate Distributors Co. has reaffirmed its membership with the American Trucking Associations to advance the interests of trucking through the industry’s national trade association.

“Interstate Distributors Company has a major role to play in working with ATA and its Federation members in finding solutions to challenges facing the trucking industry,” says Bill Graves, ATA president and chief executive officer. “The trucking industry’s presence has been strengthened through Interstate Distributors Company’s decision to stand alongside industry-leader counterparts in helping to resolve issues of mutual concern to ATA motor carrier members. These include the ongoing driver shortage facing the industry, and promoting safety and security for all vehicles on the nation’s highways.”

Interstate Distributors — founded in 1933 in Tacoma, Wash. — has more than 3,000 drivers, independent contractors and staff. Services include linehaul, heavy haul, intermodal transport, hostling and reefer solutions. “We are pleased to be working toward the many shared goals of the trucking industry as part of ATA,” says Gary McLean, the company’s chairman, president and CEO. “Interstate Distributors has a long tradition of being a leader in the trucking industry, and we believe working with ATA will only enhance this role.”
