Nationwide diesel prices drop again

The national average retail price of a gallon of diesel dropped more than a penny for the week ending Monday, March 27 to $2.565, 32 cents more than in the same week of 2005.

The East Coast saw the largest decrease, with prices there dropping 2 cents to $2.59 per gallon. The West Coast had the most expensive diesel in the country at $2.70. In California, the average was even higher, $2.727. The least expensive diesel in the country was in the Midwest at $2.523.
