Universal Truckload Services has announced the promotion of Mark Limback to president of Universal Am-Can Ltd., responsible for operating and business development functions. Universal Am-Can provides dry van, flatbed and brokerage services to a variety of shippers throughout the United States and Canada.

Limback, who began his career with Universal Am-Can in 1984, has held various positions of increasing authority and has served as vice president for the past three years. He replaces Don Cochran, who serves as president and chief executive officer of Warren, Mich.-based Universal Truckload Services. Cochran stepped aside from his role at Universal Am-Can to focus on the management of Universal Truckload.

“As vice president of Universal Am-Can, Mark Limback has played a significant role in the expansion of our nonasset-based business model,” Cochran says. “His hands-on experience will allow Universal, our agents and owner-operators to continue to exceed the expectations of our customers, while attracting new business.”
