GEOCOMtms, a global provider of fleet management software for the petroleum industry, has announced that Lubricant Technologies, a distributor of lubricants and fuels, has implemented the company’s A.Maze Planning solution for optimizing daily route planning.

Lubricant Technologies has been serving the southeastern United States for more than 75 years, distributing lubricants and fuels to customers in the automotive, commercial and industrial markets. The company offers a line of bulk and packaged lubricants under both the Exxon and Mobil brands, as well as diesel fuel and heating oil. In addition to its headquarters in Apex, N.C., Lubricant Technologies also operates terminals in New Bern, N.C.; Charleston and Columbia, S.C.; and Pembroke, Ga.

“Our commitment to our customers is to provide superior products and services,” says Glenn White, president and chief operations officer of Lubricant Technologies. “As part of that commitment, we strive to operate as efficiently as possible, which allows us to offer our customers the best possible value. The GEOCOMtms solution will give us more control over fleet operations and drive down our costs. It should also improve our ability to respond quickly to customer needs.”

A.Maze Planning, an integrated component of GEOCOMtms’ A.Maze Fleet Management package, is designed to address the unique needs of the petroleum industry. Through the solution, customers can develop optimized route plans for multi-compartment vehicles, a critical requirement for lubricant distributors. Other components of A.Maze Planning include the ability to automate selection of refill points based on product availability and price at each depot, and a forecasting module that uses historical consumption patterns to plan for scheduled deliveries.

“GEOCOMtms has the experience and expertise in the petroleum industry to help distributors reduce operating costs by improving daily planning,” says Michael Nark, president and chief executive officer of Atlanta-based GEOCOMtms. “Our reputation with other lubricant distributors is one of the reasons Lubricant Technologies chose to work with us. We value their trust and are committed to helping them achieve long-term success with A.Maze Planning.”
