BASF Coatings in North America will showcase its CathoGuard electrocoat products at Electrocoat 2006, an industry conference dedicated to the latest developments in electrodeposition coatings. The conference will take place Wednesday-Friday, April 19-21 in Orlando, Fla.
BASF’s exhibit will feature various examples of automotive parts and vehicles in a wide range of shapes and sizes, all coated with BASF’s CathoGuard products. At this year’s event, BASF will present its CathoGuard electrocoats under the slogan “Show us Your Metal” and will feature an exhibit theme that recalls the knights of the Middle Ages. Visitors will be greeted by a “CathoGuard,” a knight whose coat of armor symbolizes the protection provided by BASF Coatings’ electrocoats for vehicle parts. BASF Coatings’ electrocoat portfolio, designed to meet a range of customer requirements, includes the CathoGuard 325, 500, 525 and 700 product lines.
“BASF is a world leader in automotive coatings,” says Thaddeus Lepkowski, regional manager of automotive supply metals for New Jersey-based BASF. “We know what our customers need, and we have the global resources to develop coatings products that meet those needs and help our customers be more successful. BASF’s portfolio of state-of-the-art CathoGuard electrocoats can meet and exceed the expectations of the automotive parts industry. Our ‘Show Us Your Metal’ challenge reflects our confidence in the quality and performance of our products and what we can do for our current and prospective customers.”
BASF is one of the founding companies of the Electrocoat Association, which sponsors the electrocoat conference.
