Labwire Inc., an employee screening solutions provider, has announced that it has signed a one-year contract with Pan American Express, a privately-owned full service transportation company based in Laredo, Texas. The agreement calls for Labwire to provide its employee drug testing and screening services to Pan American Express.

Labwire says it provides secure, compliant employee drug screening and background checking services to Fortune 500 corporations via its Labwire platform, a proprietary, Web-based application designed to streamline the complex regulatory and record management activities associated with employee screening, delivering accurate, timely results while eliminating service calls and paper trails.

The contract with Pan American Express marks the second major commercial trucking company Labwire has contracted with in the past four months. “We are aggressively targeting the top 100 providers in the commercial trucking industry due to their huge upside,” says Dexter Morris, president of Houston-based Labwire. “Based on our vast experience and our cutting-edge platform that streamlines the drug testing and screening processes for our clients, Labwire will continue to pursue further contracts as we gain traction in the longhaul trucking sector.”

Pan American Express specializes in through-trailer service between all of the NAFTA countries — United States, Canada and Mexico — with operating authorities for the United States and Canada. The carrier has strong partnerships with several Mexican-owned freight transportation companies, which allows for delivery and pickup of goods in Mexico while avoiding expensive transloading costs and the associated risks of cargo loss and damage.
