Comdata announced that it has joined the American Trucking Associations to work more closely with its industry counterparts in advancing the interests of trucking.

“Comdata looks forward to partnering with the ATA to develop solutions that meet the needs of the industry,” says Scott Phillips, senior vice president and general manager of the Brentwood, Tenn.-based transportation services provider.

Comdata — a financial and data transaction processor that specializes in trust-enabled payment transactions, including controlled spending, purchasing, payroll, cash card and similar transactions for employers and employees — has been providing transaction and payment services for nearly 37 years and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ceridian Corp.

“Comdata Corporation has an important role to play in advancing the interests of ATA motor carriers and allied members in meeting challenges facing the trucking industry and the industries that support it,” says Bill Graves, ATA president and chief executive officer.
