Blackhawk Transport has opened a new 3 1/2-acre terminal facility in Statesville, N.C. Pete Fenninger, terminal manager, will oversee day-to-day operations at the new facility, which is located at 550 Buffalo Shoals Road and is home base for 15 company trucks.
“By adding a terminal in Statesville, we will be able to run more dedicated lanes and provide our customers with even better service,” says John Cornelison, director of sales for Blackhawk Logistics. “We are expecting our new location to expand to 50 trucks within the next two years.”
Blackhawk Transport and its sister company, Blackhawk Logistics, have 250 employees, including company drivers and owner-operators. The corporate headquarters for both companies is located in Beloit, Wis., with terminals located in Statesville, Phoenix and Fort Worth, Texas.
