ATA’s Graves to speak at McLeod Software’s 2006 Users’ Conference

McLeod Software has announced that Bill Graves, president and chief executive officer of American Trucking Associations, will serve as a keynote speaker at its 16th annual Users’ Conference, scheduled for Sept. 20-23 at The Wynfrey Hotel in Birmingham, Ala. Graves will address many of the issues impacting trucking, how the challenges facing the industry will grow over the next several years and what steps the industry can plan to take to address those challenges.

Now in its 16th year, McLeod’s Users’ Conference attracts more than 500 attendees representing several hundred trucking companies across the nation. The event features free training and support, leadership and management sessions, panel and roundtable discussion, and a vendor trade show. Graves has been the ATA president and CEO since January 2003. Prior to his tenure at ATA, Graves devoted 22 years to public service in his home state of Kansas, highlighted by two terms as governor.
