The Highway Watch program today, May 4, announced a promotional collaboration with Randall-Reilly Publishing Co. Randall-Reilly will assist Highway Watch in its efforts to enlist truck drivers by featuring training and recruitment information at all stops in America’s Traveling Truck Show, a trade show initiative launched by Randall-Reilly in April.
“We’re proud to have Randall-Reilly as a member of our Highway Watch team,” says Bill Jacobs, vice president of Highway Watch. “Their promotion of Highway Watch will add tremendous value to this program, and we look forward to working with them on this very important safety and security initiative.”
America’s Traveling Truck Show is a traveling trade show visiting 20 Petro Stopping Centers nationwide and lasting three days at each location. It began in Wheeler Ridge, Calif., April 4, and will end in Weatherford, Texas, Aug. 17, the week before The Great American Trucking Show. America’s Traveling Truck Show features displays from Caterpillar, Castrol, Freightliner, Peterbilt, International, Kenworth, Volvo, Mack and many other product and service providers.
“We are very excited to have Highway Watch bring its important message of safety and security to our America’s Traveling Truck Show attendees, America’s truckers,” says Robert Lake, vice president of Randall-Reilly’s truck stop division. “American truckers are patriotic professionals who play a vital role in the anti-terrorism effort.”
Highway Watch is a national safety and security program that utilizes the skills, experience and “road smarts” of America’s transportation workers to protect America’s critical highway transportation infrastructure and to help prevent terrorists from using large vehicles or hazardous cargoes as weapons.
